Noosa Landcare will be hosting a full day rainforest trees and shrubs I.D. workshop with botanical guru, Marc Russell, on Saturday the 15th August 2026 from 9AM-2:30PM at the Rural Futures Centre, Pomona.
Rainforest diversity can be a little overwhelming when it comes to species identification. Join Marc as he steps you through practical identify tips and tricks of local rainforest plants.
The day includes an information session on rainforest tree and shrub plant identification, followed by a ‘walk and talk’ session to identify rainforest species at Boreen Point.
Light refreshments and lunch provided.
Participants are provided some take home ID resources. Books and lenses are available to borrow on the day.
Please wear enclosed footwear and long-sleeved clothing and bring along a hat and water bottle for the field walk component of the day.
*Please bring a copy (if you have one) of the Rainforest Trees and Shrubs book and/or a 10x magnification hand lens.
**There will be some copies of the Rainforest Trees and Shrubs book available to purchase on the day.
