Noosa Landcare will be hosting a full day rainforest trees and shrubs I.D. workshop with botanical guru, Marc Russell and co-author of 'the red book' Bill Macdonald, on Saturday the 12th July 2025 from 9AM-2:30PM at the Rural Futures Centre, Pomona.
Rainforest diversity can be a little overwhelming when it comes to species identification. Join Bill and Marc as they step you through practical I.D. tips and tricks of local rainforest plants.
The day includes an information session on rainforest tree and shrub plant identification, followed by a ‘walk and talk’ session to identify rainforest species at the Kin Kin Arboretum.
Light refreshments and lunch provided.
Participants are provided take home ID resources. We will have copies of Rainforest Trees and Shrubs field guide for sale on the day, $50.00 per book. Please bring along a copy of the book if you have one.
Please wear enclosed footwear and long-sleeved clothing and bring along a hat and water bottle for the field walk component of the day.
