Climate Adaptation Workshop - Noosa Hinterland

Noosa Landcare is partnering with Healthy Land and Water for a Climate adaptation workshop for local producers and land managers. 

Climate variability and extremes can be challenging to plan and manage.This workshop looks to provide landholders a wide range of climate information, tools and practical management strategies to support a sustainable and resilient business and property for the future.  

The day will cover the following topics:

• Overview of the seasonal outlook and key climate drivers for the region
• Using climate forecasts and tools to improve decision making
• Understanding future climate predictions & impacts on agriculture, biodiversity in SEQ
• Adaptation strategies and practices to improve condition of natural assets - soils, pastures, waterways, native vegetation & biodiversity to maintain healthy & resilient properties & landscapes.

This workshop is suitable for most land use types, including grazing and horticulture. We seek to tailor information best to the land use types of the registrants.
